Monster Cookies

How do you keep monsters at bay?  With cookies that were inspired by them.  Monster cookies are warm, fuzzy and you get to bite into them instead of the other way around.  After last week’s post I wanted to share a recipe that brings comfort and joy to all those who have a cookie or two.  Whether it is just for yourself, friends or if you have little monsters of your own, these cookies are a hit no matter what.

The Finished Product

like biting into a hot cookie fresh out of the oven.  Now to add a little more of a healthy but still relaxing effect to this ritual, I recommend having a cup of turmeric ginger herbal tea.  Its anti-inflammatory, brain boosting and skin repair qualities make it a marvelous beverage to have when monster cookies are present.  Autumn is when both turmeric and ginger are harvested in southern Asia.  Due to its spicy and lively taste, it’s perfect to have when the climate becomes a little colder.  During this time of year we need more warm thoughts and great comforts.  After all, Halloween is coming up and with all the monsters and ghouls coming out to play, we need tea and treats to deal with their little tricks.  What are your favorite Halloween treats?

Making Magic Come To Life

Greetings fun-seekers, adventurers, explorers and adrenaline-junkies. Thank you choosing to visit my blog; Light, Laughter and a Little Magic. My name is Erika but I also go by “The Oracle.” I’m a blogger and aspiring story-teller. I’ve been blogging since January 1, 2015. I’ve been on a couple of sabbaticals but I am back and looking to help others find exciting escapades.

I’m a fun-loving woman who loves a good adventure and to write them down. I’ll be taking you all on some of my experiences in hopes to not only entertain but inform. There are so many amazing things to see and do out there. Some of the things I do will involve spending some money while others will not cost you a dime. The stories I tell you can be done with family, friends or by yourself. Whatever the experience, I hope to set your imaginations free and inspire you to try some of these amazing things.
I am a free spirit on a journey and in order to tell you my story, I have to share it with you this way. But first, here are a few things about myself. I have a sweet little kitty named Karma, I live in a colorful plant-filled condo and have a lot of things that I like to do. My favorite hobbies include circus acrobatics, archery, yoga, knife-throwing, cooking and gardening. That’s right, I’m a circus-loving foodie with a penchant for long-range weaponry, and a fondness for plants. I’m also very much into meditation, music, dancing, travelling, love stories, nature, and just about anything that’s fun. Life is too short, you might as well do everything that this world has to offer.

Goals for My Blog

For me, blogging is about sharing what’s inside of you with the people in your life. My goal is to start your day off on a happy note while you have your first cup of coffee in the morning. Or, you can enjoy my blog at the end of your day while you are enjoying a glass of wine. Either way, I wish to inspire you to grab life with both hands.

What you can expect from my blog

Magic and fun. I will recommend some pretty cool stuff that should be tried at least once. You will also notice that everything I write has a bit of a mystical twist. I see the world as an exhilarating enchanting amusement park that’s waiting to be explored. I would never recommend anything that I didn’t like, this I promise you. Prepare to be enlightened, entertained and even given some practical advice.

Will you join me on a magical journey?
