The Free Spirit Spheres

Eve Sphere

The fog and rain on the day that I arrived gave the Free Spirit Spheres a mysterious feel that I didn’t expect.  As soon as I stepped on this land, I felt an instant release of all my troubles.  It was so joyous and healing that I could not stop smiling.  I met two nice people that worked there, Jamie and Rosy.  He gave me a splendid tour of the place. During my tour, Jamie told me that people have told him that this place was a spiritual bridge between the world of the supernatural and our own.  Throughout their stays, people say that they had dreams, saw some unexplainable things and found themselves healed mind body and soul.  If I wanted more details, Jamie told me that I could read some of the stories in Eve’s personal guestbook.  So yes I made plans to do so.  They lead me around the little pond to the different spheres including my own named “Eve.”

Bed/Seating Area
Table with Fairies

Jamie took me up the spiral staircase and opened the latched door to peek inside of Eve.  I fell in love.  It was a lovely surprise of natural beauty, quaintness and whimsy.  It was perfect for just one person and maybe two if they were looking for a little romance.  The seating area/bed was ready made, a large treat basket was awaiting my arrival, and my little dining table had fairy plates on it.  I also had a cooler that contained my breakfast for the next morning but the best thing it held was champagne and chocolate.  Oh yeah!  These guys knew me very well.  With all this I could not help but wonder if they looked up all my interests.  After having a gander at my pod, Jamie took me outside and showed me my own personal outhouse.  It was surprisingly adorable for an outhouse. The guests had left their own mark by personal writings, quotes, inspirational messages and colorful pictures on the walls with the provided pencil crayons.

Outhouse Art

Next we ventured a short distance to a building which included my own personal bathroom complete with towels, a robe, shower, sink and toilet.   A common room included a fridge, microwave, sink and the best thing to find, a sauna.  This I knew I had to try.  Jamie left me to settle in and explore the place on my own.  After walking around I got a good look around the area.  The natural beauty all around put me at ease despite the bear warning I got from Jamie.  It rained slightly and I could smell the freshness of the forest.  As I walked everywhere that I could, I noticed that this place itself is that of a giant circle.

Natural Beauty

The next thing I wanted to do was to take advantage of the sauna with its eucalyptus spray.  After, that half hour of heated heaven, I made my way back to my sphere.  When I got there, I poured my glass of champagne, opened up my treat basket and read all the stories in the sphere’s guest book.  There are so many amazing tales in that book.  My favorite entry was the one with the picture of the pod and a whole bunch of magical creatures surrounding it.  True proof that a picture tells more than a thousand words.  I sat there enjoying myself and looking forward to my own experience.  At this time, I decided to retire and see what kind of dreams I got.

The next morning…

Champagne Breakfast

I woke up and felt amazing.  But I thought that I didn’t experience anything magical, in my dreams or otherwise.  As I got up, had some chai tea and my lovely breakfast of yogurt, granola and fruit, I realized that I did experience something magical.  Not only did I have the best sleep that I have had in a very long time, I remembered that as I fell asleep I saw a mist trailing along the ground and the leaves in the trees glowed this ethereal green light.  What can be more magical than that?  I would have loved to stay longer but the pod was booked for someone else that night.

Before I left, Jamie took me to the workshop where three new spheres were being made.  Their names are to be Flora, Luna and Gwen.  He told me that each pod is eco-friendly and made from recycled materials.  Even the door latches are made from old pennies.  It was indeed fascinating but the history of the land was even more so.  Apparently before Tom (the proprietor) bought the place, it was steeped in tragedy.  An example of this is the story of a man who lived there before.  He was into organized crime.  Drugs, theft, you name it, he was involved in it.  He was murdered on the land.

All I can say about this is, the past has surely stayed in the past because Tom (whom I had the brief pleasure of meeting that day) has made this place into a haven full of light and peace.  What makes it so is the combination of the good people who run the place and the natural beauty that surrounds it.  To stay in these amazing orbs is an experience like no other.  Thank you all at Free Spirit Spheres for a serene, natural, stress relieving day.    I hope that I can go back soon and stay a little longer.
